My AC is not working and it's almost 90 degrees in the house right now...and very, very humid. They were supposed to come fix it today but now they're not going to be here until Monday. It's going to be a sticky weekend...bleh!

Here is a layout I did using "Best Friends" from Doreen Stolz at GoDigitalScrapbooking.com

Another shot of my baby girl and her buddy Gracie. I believe they were sharing a bowl of goldfish crackers.

I won't be around much over the next couple of weeks. My husband (who has been deployed to Iraq) will be home on leave so I'll probably be busy.

Have a nice weekend!

I got a couple of comments from people saying they had trouble with the download link for my portion of the Daddy and Me Blog Train. I don't think it was a problem for everyone because I'm showing over 500 downloads on Mediafire. (Holy Cow! Definitely my most popular kit so far.) I want to make sure everyone who wanted it was able to get it, though, so I've uploaded it to 4shared as well.

Click here to download from 4shared or here to download from mediafire.

Happy scrapping!

I thought I'd share a quick page based on the layout I did with my portion of the Daddy and Me blog train.

But first, here's the page I did with Jazzy's new word art collection "Friendship"

This is my daughter and her "cousin". They really are best friends...they even "talk" to each other on the phone.

Here's the quick page

Happy Scrapping!

I've been a busy scrapper lately. The first is using this month's collab kit at GoDigitalScrapbooking.com

This kit is so pretty, I really love the colors. The best part about it, though, is that it's FREE with any 10 dollar purchase at GDS during the month of June. Here's what I did with it:

This is my husband climbing the falls in Ocho Rios. We had one day in Jamaica during our cruise back in 2005. We spent the morning at the beach and the afternoon at Dunn's River Falls. I'd really wanted to join the fun but since I was pregnant, I decided to play it safe and just watch and take pictures.

The second uses Sabine's GORGEOUS new kit "color PURPLE" available at NDISB.

This is my baby girl smiling in her sleep. She's less than a month old here so it's probably gas but we'll pretend she's having a nice dream.

Jazzy has a new word art set out, too. I'll be using this in my next layout.

Have a scrap happy day!

The Daily Scrapper recently had a call for birthday layouts for their 1st anniversary issue. I submitted the one I did with Dani Alencar's "Your Day" for the GoDigitalScrapbooking.com Supreme Team contest and it was accepted!

You can check it out here.

Thanks for the lovely comments on my portion of the Daddy and Me blog train. I appreciate the encouragement.

Last month's Stuff to Scrap blog train was so much fun, I decided to join again this month. This month's theme was "Daddy and Me".

Don't forget to visit the other "stops" on the train.

If you'd like the rest of the Kindred Creations May Collab kit, you can visit this forum post.

Here's a page I did with my portion (plus a few extra pieces)

This is my daughter at about 4 months old...already fascinated with the piano. She really loves music and dancing.

The lovely word art is from Jazzy's new collection "Just Music" available here. She's also got some freebie word art available on her blog today so drop by and see what she's got for you.

OK, so some of you want to know more about me..and by the way, I applaud the forthrightness of the person who actually took the time to answer "Just shut up and give me the freebies" :-)

So I'll share a funny story about my daughter. She's three and she's been a little over the top lately. Anything that happens is a major trauma (this is new behavior) Anyway, a couple of days ago I told her she was being a drama queen to which she replied, "I'm not a queen, I'm a princess!" I laughed pretty hard over that one.

And now for the freebies. I've contributed to this month's collab kit at Kindred Creations. The full kit will be available soon (June 1st I believe) at the Kindred Creations site. You can download my portion now, though.

Happy Scrapping!

As promised, here is a quick page of my layout from yesterday.

So it seems a few of you want to know more about me but over 95% of the visitors over the last few days have not responded at all. I'm thinking that if these people had been forced to choose, they would have picked "just shut up and give me the freebies" :-) That's okay, I don't mind. But if you do have a second to respond to my poll (look to your right) I'd appreciate your opinion.

Today I have the matching elements to the papers I posted the other day. I also have a layout I did with the kit.

Like it? Check back tomorrow and I'll have a quick page for you.

These are the elements

I really like how the glass frame turned out. Hope you do too. Click here to download.

Happy Scrapping!

So, I'm not really the chatty type. But now I have a blog and I'm wondering...what kind of posts are you interested in seeing? I know you like the freebies, but do you want to know me? Would the details of my life as a WAHM of a three year old bring you back or chase you away? Should I just stick to layouts and tutorials or should I dish?

I've decided to set up a poll. Please take a moment to throw in your two cents.

Thanks!

Enjoy the weekend!

I'm so excited because I joined my first blog train.

Here is the color pallet:

You can find out more info at Stuff to Scrap and check back here May 4th for my portion of this awesome collection.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day...whatever it means to you.

I'm offering my first freebie kit today. It was inspired by an Easter outfit I saw in a catalog.

Download it here. I'd love to hear what you think.

Also, don't forget the sale I mentioned the other day.

Get Photoshop Elements 7 for $59.99 or Photoshop Elements 7 with Photoshop.com Plus membership for $89.99. Exp. 04/23/09.

I went ahead and purchased the upgrade...I couldn't resist the deal. Here's the first layout I did with it:

This gorgeous kit is Rainbow's Touch by Laitha available at godigitalscrapbooking.com.

I've been using Elements 3 for a long time and the upgrade is going to take some time to get used to. It's going to be so worth it, though. I really enjoyed the new control I had over my shadows. Elements 7 let's me choose size, distance, and transparency. Another AWESOME feature is the ability to copy styles from one element to another. This is going to really save me some time.

Have a wonderful Easter Sunday.

I've been using Elements 3.0 since I started digiscrapping back in 2005. I've been seriously considering upgrading and now might be the time to do it.

Get Photoshop Elements 7 for $59.99 or Photoshop Elements 7 with Photoshop.com Plus membership for $89.99. Exp. 04/23/09.

That's a GREAT price. If you've been thinking about upgrading (or are just getting started and looking for a great program) you might want to check it out.

Another page using Valentine from Sabdesbois:

I just love a man in uniform :-)

The photo mask and the leaves are also by Sabdesbois...from her freebie kit "Greeny".

And here's another template for you:

You can download it here.

Here's the first page I did with Valentine from Sabdesbois:

I just love the rich red in the kit. You can get it here.

Freebie Time!

I promised I'd be offering freebies so here's the first one...a PSD layered template based on my layout:

You can download it here.

I finally have a blog! I some spent time yesterday creating a header using Sabdesbois's great new kit "Valentine" ...

Valentine Kit

isn't it beautiful?

I hope to make this a fun and informative place to visit so I'll be offering tutorials, freebies, and other scrappin' stuff. Come back soon!
